Given the opportunity to work with the design team from an early stage a competent planning supervisor will help identify the significant risks and discuss the options from a holistic design perspective. A solid understanding of construction health and safety law also allows us to assess the CDM performance of the client and indeed the principal contractor over and above the statutory requirement to ensure designers contribute to the hazard management process. We enjoy working on challenging construction projects of any size from £100k up to our largest project to date which is £700m.

More recently we have been privileged to work with numerous architectural practices on projects of all sizes as CDM advisors. Many practices see the benefits of working with specialist CDM consultants as a means of addressing their statutory health and safety obligations. This work often takes the form of an in-house project CDM workshop where hazards are initially identified and assessed based on their level of perceived risk. The outputs of such workshops are effectively the list of significant residual risks required by the project planning supervisor. (This workshop is supported by the RIBA CPD scheme.) 

This unique style training focuses on your live projects and is wholly interactive. As part of this service, our highly experienced consultants review your live projects 'one on one' with the design team to produce accurate design risk assessments and offer solid health and safety contributions. For many of our satisfied clients, a full day is spent in their offices where appointments are set through the day to meet with the different designers within the company so as to cover several different projects.
